Semester 1 Snapshot
A snapshot of some activities undertaken by the children in Room 4 this semester.
The Creation Story
The children were told the Creation story one of the Montessori great stories. The creation story gives the children the scientific version of the creation of how the Universe came in to existence. After listening to the story the children were asked to create their own images of how they imagined the Big Bang would have looked had they been there to witness the event.
The children were given black paper and a selection of art materials to work with to create their picture. Some of the materials they used included metallic and fluorescent oil pastels. Samples of the children's impressions are displayed.
