On Monday 11th May 2009 the Eltham Combined Primary Schools Band competed in the Boroondara Eisteddfod. This band consists of 57 students from Plenty Valley Montessori School and 11 students from Montmorency South Primary School. The band competed alongside five other school concert bands and won the competition for the third year in a row. The students were ecstatic with the result as their hard work was recognised by the adjudicator on the day. Two articles on the band’s success at the Eisteddfod appeared in local papers in the weeks following the performance.
