National Chess Championship
The children pictured are Plenty Valley Montessori student representatives at the National Chess Championships held in Melbourne, December 2006.
The coordinators, Basil Koutes and Wendy Whyte, have supported the Chess teams from the school throughout the year and we are all very proud of the children for reaching such an outstanding level of chess playing, particularly when you consider Morgan is only 7 years old and a grade one student in the school. What will these children be capable of by the time they reach year 6?
